PODS® moving and storage names Ben Orze as Chief Operations Officer

(GLENDALE, Calif.) – Ben Orze has been promoted to chief operating officer for Storage Mobility, Inc., the nation’s largest operator of PODS franchises. Orze, a five-year employee, will oversee the general day-to-day operations for the 21 franchise service providers nationwide to ensure safe and efficient operations. The Santa Monica, Calif. resident holds a bachelor of science degree in finance from Arizona State University and was hired by PODS in January 2007 as the franchise’s business analyst. Orze was later promoted to director of finance after relocating from Arizona to Los Angeles in January 2010. Prior to joining PODS, Orze held a position as a controller at a boutique bank in Scottsdale, Ariz. for five years managing the accounting and finance operations. “It’s rewarding to grow with a company like PODS who has achieved so many milestones in such a short amount of time,” Orze said. “As a team we continually focus on mastering the fundamentals of our business by maintaining our values and making customer service our number one priority.” Through his new role, Orze hopes to help the franchise maintain its status as one of the leading providers of moving and storage services nationwide. “PODS has revolutionized a relatively archaic industry by offering convenience and value through the use of its safe and secure storage containers,” Orze explains. “We are consistently showing the world that PODS is the best moving and storage solution. I’m proud to be part of a company that works efficiently and constantly sets the bar for supreme customer satisfaction.” About Storage Mobility Storage Mobility, dba PODS®, has 21 franchise locations and is the world’s largest independent provider of PODS Moving and Storage services for residential and commercial customers in the U.S. Areas served include California, Colorado, New Mexico, Idaho, Nevada, Utah, Washington, Pennsylvania and New York. Beating all odds: California woman fights second battle with ovarian cancer, wins PODS® $10,000 Home Makeover Takeover Sweepstakes

(CLEARWATER, Fla.) – Dec. 19, 2012 – Sharon Harshbarger of Mi-Wuk, Calif. was about to undergo renovations for her family home in the Stanislaus National Forest when she learned the heartbreaking news she had a recurring diagnosis of ovarian cancer. “I was first diagnosed with ovarian cancer in 2008 and after several rounds of chemotherapy, it returned two years later as Stage 4 ovarian cancer,” Harshbarger explained. “The chemo has kept me from doing the homemaking projects I’ve had on my to-do list for many, many years.” When Harshbarger learned about PODS® Enterprises, Inc.’s $10,000 Home Makeover Takeover Sweepstakes back in October, she immediately signed up for the moving and storage company’s contest in hopes she could finish her long awaited home improvement projects. Harshbarger’s wish came true. On Wednesday, Dec. 19, PODS President and CEO, John Koch, presented her with a $10,000 check at the PODS Modesto, Calif. storage facility to help renovate and restore her family home in the mountains. “I’m so happy to be alive and pray for remission everyday,” Harshbarger said. “This truly is a Christmas miracle. I thank PODS for their support and with this prize, now I can really work on my project list. Our home in the mountains has given me great peace – I’m happy to return the favor with a facelift!” “Sharon has been through many struggles but is a proven fighter and we are proud to present her with this prize money to help renovate her home,” Koch said. “Sharon has been a loyal customer of ours and we look forward to providing our moving and storage services to her.” The $10,000 Home Makeover Sweepstakes was launched to celebrate the delivery of PODS’ two millionth container delivery in Valrico, Fla. in August and to show customer appreciation. ### About PODS Enterprises, Inc. Relief efforts going strong for Sandy victims

The money is already trickling in and Red Cross volunteers are ready to help, as the organization makes a special effort at the Albany International Airport to collect funds for victims of Sandy. Jeff Pirro, a Red Cross volunteer says, "The Red Cross is still operating shelters and other relief efforts, and an important component of that is raising funds to be able to mobilize support and services, and other things for those folks downstate and elsewhere." Donations will be accepted at the Albany Airport on Thursday as well. Across town, the ValleyCats organization is working towards a donation of their own. Assistant General Manager Matt Callahan says, "With the temperatures dropping down there, there's a need for warm clothes. We were able to send down some generators and gas previously, but we're still looking for some of those basic supplies: flashlights, batteries, canned goods, things of that nature." A team of volunteers will head to New York City and North Jersey this coming weekend, so bring anything you can donate to the stadium. One of the largest efforts we found is happening at the Midway Fire Department. PODS donated 3 storage units to be filled with donations, and they're already seeing bags of clothes and supplies dropped off. Dave Tracey, the Territory Manager of Albany PODS, says "The containers themselves, the 16 foots can hold three to four rooms, and if you pack them tight enough they can hold a lot more than that, so we're hoping to fill them all the way to the door." A lot of times people want to help, but have no way of getting donated items down to the hardest hit areas. All of these local organizations are taking care of that piece of the puzzle, so now all they're asking is for you to donate anything you can. Here is a list of the places PODS will be set up for donations: -10 Empire State Blvd., Castleton, NY: Monday, Nov. 5 through Wednesday, Nov. 14 (8am-4:30pm) -6 Old Mariaville Rd., Schenectady, NY: Wednesday, Nov. 7 (8am-8pm) -1956 Central Ave., Colonie, NY: Wednesday Nov. 7 through Friday, Nov. 9 (1pm-4pm and 6pm-8pm) -1860 Central Ave, Colonie, NY: Saturday, Nov. 10 (9am-3pm)
